In what should no longer be considered strange seeing as there’s a Grand Theft Auto-esque shark game currently in development, Peace Island is a title that will allow cat lovers to live their dream of being a feline. That’s right, it’ll be the perfect game for those who have cosplayed as Puss In Boots from Shrek. But will it be on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One?
There’s – surprisingly – a great number of famous cats from pop culture including Totoro, Morgana from Persona 5, and – of course – the feline that was robbed of its nine lives in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
But, unlike anything else, Peace Island will actually give you the opportunity to play as these cats, meaning you’ll be able to control a mischievous bugger that is always hungry for attention.

Will Peace Island arrive on PS4 and Xbox One?
Developed by Eric Blumrich, Peace Island is said to be an open-world adventure game about cats on a remote Maine Island.
Seeing as it puts you in the paws of a feline only, Peace Island is a non-violent interactive game that asks the ultimate question: are humans worth bringing back?
Despite the answer to that question being an obvious no seeing as we do nothing but ruin the planet and b**ch online, the fun of this unique game comes with gaining the trust and friendship of 8 cats you meet throughout the narrative.
Blumrich’s Maine is based on the real-life area that has become an obsession for Stephen King, and – much like the horror author’s The Langoliers – its mystery is centered around the disappearance of every man, woman, and child.
And you get to play as the Egyptian god, Bastet, by deciding whether or not they deserve to come back.
This all sounds oddly charming and intriguing, but is it being developed for PS4 and Xbox One? Unfortunately for Sony and Xbox gamers, it is only in development for PC, Mac, and Oculus VR with no release date announced.

Peace Island is an open-world, story-driven adventure game, currently under development
for the PC, Mac, and Oculus VR system.
A mix of science fiction, alternative history, and mystery – the game’s story unfolds from the perspective of the nine cats who call the island home, when they wake up to find their human companions gone.
“Peace Island” will be (as the name might imply,) a non-violent interactive story which will focus on discovery, atmosphere, and exploration, rather than combat. The player will have the opportunity to experience multiple divergent storylines, as they approach the ultimate decision:
“Are the humans worth bringing back?”
At the start of the game, you will have free access to the entirety of the game world, and from a cat’s point of view, things very well might be idyllic…
Perhaps you want nothing more than to lie in the sun, hunt a few bugs, and maybe sneak through the window of the seafood shop down on the waterfront for a quick bite.
Perhaps you’ll want to explore the island- you never know who you might meet, or what you’ll find.
Perhaps you will assist another island cat in their search for what happened to the humans, or befriend another cat who hopes they never return.
Every step you take will determine the fate of humanity, and the future of life on earth.

The game world of Peace Island is HUGE – containing no less than four major settlements, along with dozens of other locations.
